Date of entry into force 12 December 1961 Reservations Romania has made a commercial reservation and a reciprocity reservation. In addition, with regard to awards made in the territory of non-contracting States, Romania applies the Convention only to the extent to which those States grant reciprocal treatment.

Domestic Court with jurisdiction over recognition and enforcement of foreign award The request for recognition and/or enforcement may be made before the tribunal of the district in which the person against whom recognition and enforcement of the award is sought has its domicile or headquarters. If this tribunal cannot be determined, the tribunal with jurisdiction over the recognition and enforcement of the award shall be the Bucharest Tribunal.
