Timor-Leste has become the 172nd State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 17 January 2023. The New York Convention will enter into force for Timor-Leste on 17 April 2023.

Suriname has become the 171st State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 10 November 2022. The New York Convention will enter into force for Suriname on 8 February 2023.

Turkmenistan has become the 170th State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 4 May 2022. The New York Convention will enter into force for Turkmenistan on 2 August 2022.

Iraq has become the 169th State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 11 November 2021. The New York Convention will enter into force for Iraq on 9 February 2022.

Belize has become the 168th State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 15 March 2021. The New York Convention will enter into force for Belize on 13 June 2021.

Malawi has become the 167th State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 4 March 2021. The New York Convention will enter into force for Malawi on 2 June 2021.

Sierra Leone has become the 166^th State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 28 October 2020. The New York Convention will enter into force for Sierra Leone on 26 January 2021.

Ethiopia has become the 165^th State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 24 August 2020. The New York Convention will enter into force for Ethiopia on 22 November 2020.

With its accession to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, effected on 12 June 2020, Tonga becomes the 164^th State party to the Convention. The Convention will enter into force for Tonga on 10 September 2020.

The Republic of Palau has become the 163rd State party to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, having deposited its instrument of accession on 31 March 2020. The New York Convention will enter into force for Palau on 29 June 2020.

With its accession to the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, effected on 3 February 2020, the Seychelles becomes the 162^nd State party to the Convention. The Convention will enter into force for the Seychelles on 3 May 2020.

Cabo Verde has become the 158th State party to the 1958 Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards, or the New York Convention, having deposited its instrument of accession on 22 March 2018.

The conference is organized jointly by UNCITRAL and the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre (LAC) and will take place at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday, 20 March 2018.
