When ratifying the NYC, Belarus made a reciprocity reservation in the following terms: “The Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic will apply the provisions of this Convention in respect to arbitral awards made in the territories of non-contracting States only to the extent to which they grant reciprocal treatment.” |

For commercial disputes, an economic court of the region of the Republic of Belarus, where the debtor is located or domiciled; or, when the debtor’s location or domicile is unknown, an economic court of the region of the Republic of Belarus, where the debtor’s assets are located. For non-commercial disputes involving an individual, the general court of the region where the debtor is located or domiciled; or, when the debtor’s location or domicile is outside Belarus or is unknown, a general court, where the debtor’s assets are located. |
